General Supply Price Requirements

All Supply Prices are for cash sales only, and do not apply to rental or lease transactions, whether between BD and FIND, or between BD or its distributors and FIND, the Ministries of Health or NGOs.

All Supply Prices do not apply to sales by BD or its distributors to the Ministries of Health or NGOs under separate written agreements between such parties, whether executed before or after the Effective Date. However, if there is no separate written agreement between such parties, then BD will make the below Supply Prices available to such Ministries of Health and NGOs.

All Supply Prices exclude additional fees imposed by any BD distributors, for which FIND, or the applicable Ministries of Health or NGOs, are responsible to pay, including, but not limited to, any increases to the Supply Price by distributors.

Warranty

Warranty covers the BD BACTEC™ MGIT™ 960 and BD BACTEC™ MGIT™ 320 instrument only. Warranty starts when systems are shipped out from BD Distribution Center or installed by BD qualified engineer: 12 months after installation or 15 months after shipment whatever comes earlier.

Warranty includes:

  • One-year manufacturer warranty on parts
  • Remote assistance from our support team
  • One preventive maintenance intervention per year and per instrument.
  • Two onsite corrective interventions (inclusive of BD Epicenter) per year and per instrument.
  • Additional corrective intervention will be quoted separately by BD or authorized service provider.

For any Product not covered by a warranty or a Service Contract, any failure should be reported to BD or authorized service provider in country. Corrective intervention will be quoted separately by BD or authorized service provider.

Service Contract

Service Contract includes:

  • Remote assistance from BD support team
  • One preventive maintenance intervention per year and per instrument
  • All needed spare parts for the preventive maintenance is included
  • Two onsite corrective interventions (inclusive of BD EpiCenter™ Microbiology Data Management System) per year and per instrument
  • All cost of shipping parts is covered by BD; however, support could be requested to facilitate in supporting custom clearance in case no presence of BD or its authorized service provider
  • Additional corrective intervention will be quoted separately by BD or authorized service provider.
  • The BD EpiCenter™ Microbiology Data Management System is maintained to the latest revision via updates (remotely or next planned on-site visit). Updates includes bug fixes, minor user interface changes and minor functional improvements. Hardware is excluded.
  • Note: Customer is responsible to assure internet service/connection for the remote support

These prices are FCA incoterm at the manufacturer loading bay. Additional costs beyond the FCA cost may include one or more of the following:

Fully Landed

Additional transport and shipping (international and local costs), insurance, clearing, customs duties and local taxes, where applicable

Infrastructure

  • Laboratory renovation
  • Biosafety-related upgrades, such as negative pressure facilities and/or biosafety cabinets
  • Electrical supply, possibly including a backup generator.

In addition to these costs, supplementary investment that is related more generally to establishing fully functional TB laboratory networks should be considered, including:

  • Specimen transport costs
  • Other essential supplies (gloves, respirators, lab gowns and lab coats)
  • Other needed equipment (refrigerated safety centrifuges, freezers, pipettes, etc.)
  • Costs related to Quality Assurance
  • Laboratory management information system-related costs (LMIS), for inventory management; recording and reporting results.

The above additional costs should also be taken into consideration when developing budgets and work plans. Guidance is available through the Global Laboratory Initiative and WHO for these areas.
